Backup Domain Controller

Did any one work on Backup Domain Controller (TMS).... If yes i would like to know hw it works?

the main domain controller has its replica which stores all the upcomming requests in the transport import queue

if suppose the main domain controller say development system goes down by any means then the backup domain controller starts the work in place of main domain controller

this is done when v have common trans directory.
