Server Domain name change

Hi ,

We are using IDES server for test purpose.The servers are now in a domain and due to some security reaso we are going to change the domain of the server. When we are trying to change the domain no items are there in MMC console.
Is the domain change is really possible in SAP. what are the pre-requisites need to be followed for the domain change.

hi rakesh

if you read the scripts for system copy then you can easily understand the meaning of changing the hostname or the domain name of sap......

changing that would really matters bcoz all the application servers will access through that particular domain name and now if it does not find the desired domain then naturally the effects will show.......


appart from that the operating system level users are also domain users they also cannot access the sap system....
