Archiving is a Process of moving old,Unused,Legasy data into storage systems.The data which is not archived is not eligible for any further upadates.
Foe example Transactional data.
The data can be deleted,but it is required to store as per statutory requirements of the local government.Before Learning This U ahould Have knowledge on sap abap engine data types otherwise u wont understand this topic.First learn what is
1.Independent Data
2.Dependent Data
3.Customizing Data
4.Application Data.
5.Transactional Data etc
